Hi, all!
I think it would be useful to find out what things Canadians would like to change in Canada to make their dreams come true.
Also, I’d like to know what do Canadians think about Oh, Canada movie.
Thank you!
In my opinion here is a list of what I think Canadians would like to change:
*
A better health care than what we already have.
*
Less taxation but at the same time maintain our standard of living.
*
Winters 2 months shorter and 10 – 15 degrees warmer, but keep it a secret, as, if the word gets out then everyone will want to live here.
As to the, Oh Canada movie. I am not sure which movie you are referring to. However, if it is a spoof (making fun of) on Canadism then I think Canadians would laugh louder then any one else. We do not take ourselves too seriously.

Hello to everyone!
Here is one of the questions which I would like to ask:
Many know such a phenomenon as an American dream. Is there anything analogous in Canada, say, a Canadian dream? And what does it consist of?
Thank you kindly
As Canada has a similar history to the USA in terms of the period of colonization and having been colonized by the same groups of people with the same aspirations (i.e. equality , freedom of speech, free enterprise, etc.) then I would say that, overall, the Canadian Dream would be similar to the American Dream, just not so vocally stated.
Dear Sheila, thank you for answering my question.
I suspected that there might be not too many things to change in Canada to make it an ideal country and I am very glad to hear it from a «real» Canadian 🙂
I am going to keep this information in secret not to attract to many interested in living there. 🙂
However, I am confused a little bit by the point of view on Canadian future expressed in that movie I’ve mentioned about.

If you have time and wish to watch it ( it’s very long, containes 15 parts), could you please let us know what you think about this information.
I’d appreciate it very much.
Also, it would be really interesting to hear the opinions and comments on this movie from other interlocutors in this blog, especially, from professionals in financial sphere.
Hi Ira — I looked at the You Tube article that you cited and do not agree with the person’s ‘rants’ at all. No place is perfect and I will be one of the first to say that «no, Canada is not wiothout it’s faults. However, the blog is just one person’s opinion and one has to try to think for themselves. What the person’s concern iseems to be is the greed of capitalism but are the alternatives any better?
Hi Ira – Here is the answer again with out the typos

Ira, every democratic society must have public room to complain about its government’s financial policy and attack the government’s spending patterns. Only genius of Putin and Mugabe is beyond any critics, other countries are run by mere mortals.
For the financial part, don’t ever take anything like that seriously. Those Michael Moore — style revelations have nothing in common with serious study about how real financial system work. Finance as scientific discipline is at cutting edge of social science now, and actually far more sophisticated in its methodology than quantum physics, so one can’t reasonably understand financial mechanisms without appropriate background in social and mathematical sciences.
